Game of Thrones Tour

Northern Ireland's Original Game of Thrones Tour!

2022 TripAdvisor Travellers Choice Award Winner!

For those of you who have been blown away by some of the stunning scenery featured as the backdrop in HBO's Game of Thrones, then this is the tour for you!

Check out our News Page to see what happened in July 2017 when Kristian Nairn arrived on our tour to surprise not only fans, but our driver/guide too!

By travelling with McComb's you're travelling with the same company as the cast and crew of Game of Thrones! We worked on seasons 1 - 6, providing transport to and from all filming locations.

Choose from joining other Game of Thrones fans on one of our coach tours to Westeros, or enjoy some added luxury at a slightly slower pace on a Private Tour. The itineraries are the same, so the choice is yours!

Transport yourself on-board our coach to the Kings Road and join us for a day visiting the main filming locations featured in this phenomenal series.

All aboard for Westeros!

Every Day at 8.30am (returns to Belfast at approx 6pm)

This tour is the perfect balance for Thronies and non-Thronies alike, as we have a mix of Game of Thrones filming locations and the must-see sights & attractions of Norhtern Irelands North Coast.

Our first stop of the day is at Carrickfergus Castle for a short Photo-Stop, where you can also grab a tasty coffee to bring along.  We travel along the Causeway Coastal Route seeing towns and villages like Ballycastle, which Game of Thrones fans will know as home to the actors who play Lady Catelyn Stark and Varys!  This drive has been voted as one of the Top 5 Road Trips in the World, and it's here that we stop off at Carnlough Harbour (where Arya arrives in Braavos), and the stunning Caves at Cushendun (where Milisandre gave borth to the Shadow Assasin).

We then travel further along the coast to Portaneevy ViewPoint, the perfect stop to see Carrick-a-Rede Ropebridge, which featured as a backdrop to the Iron Islands, and also Renly's Camp.

After seeing all of these filming loactions we're ready for a break at The Fullerton Arms in Ballintoy for some pub grub style lunch (payable locally).  As you enter, you'll "Hold the Door"  of the handcarved "Door of Thrones" from Season 6 Episode 6, made from one of the fallen trees from The Dark Hedges.

After lunch it's time for a highlight of the day - Giant's Causeway.  Although Giant's Causeway is not featured in Game of Thrones, a visit to the area would not be complete without a stop here.

After our trip to Giant's Causeway, we slow the pace down a little, with a photo stop at the stunning ruins of Dunluce Castle, and then it's onwards to Ireland's oldest Whiskey Distillery - Old Bushmills.

The last stop is at The Dark Hedges, instantly recognisable as The Kings Road, where Arya makes her escape from Kings Landing.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:  There is some walking on what are sometimes uneven surfaces during this tour, and it therefore requires moderate fitness levels.  Please come dressed appropriately for not only the season, but also for the activity.  While it is always our intention to visit all of the locations listed, if there is an unforeseeing event which means it is not possible to stop at them we may have to adjust the itinerary accordingly.  Your driver will always give priority to your safety, and access for the coach without causeing any loss or damage.

Please Also Note:  Unfortunately we cannot currently pre-book entry tickets for the visitor centre at Giant's Causeway.  You will be able to visit the Giant's Causeway stones Free of Charge (we think that's the best part anyway)!!  The National Trust have also made the decision to no longer allow any coaches to visit Carrick-a-rede Ropebridge, therefore we will instead have a Photo Stop at the Portaneevy Viewing Point.

This tour is independently operated by McComb's Coach Travel. It is not sponsored, endorsed, or affiliated with HBO or anyone associated with Game of Thrones.
